Cement Kiln

1. Type of industrial furnace that receives hazardous waste to burn as fuel to run its cement process. Cement is produced by heating mixtures of limestone and other minerals or additives at high temperatures in a rotary kiln, followed by cooling, grinding, and finish mixing.
2. Industrial furnace used in making Portland cement. In the heating process, calcium carbonate and silica minerals react to make calcium silicates.
