Cryogen

Refrigerant used to obtain sub-ambient temperatures in the pre-concentrator and/or the GC oven. Typical cryogens are liquid nitrogen (boiling point [BP] -195.8 °C), liquid argon (BP -185.7 °C), and liquid carbon dioxide (BP -79.5 °C).
