1. A data standard documents an agreement on representation, format, and definition for common data exchanged. Exchange Network partners must use data standards that have been approved by the Exchange Network Leadership Council (ENLC). The ENLC has subsumed the activities of the Environmental Data Standards Council (EDSC). See information at http://www.exchangenetwork.net/knowledge-base/
