Drill Pipe

1. Heavy, thich walled, hollow steel pipe used in rotary drilling to turn the drill bit and to provide a conduit for the drilling mud.
2. Lengths of hollow pipe usually made of steel, used by a drill rig to drill a borehole; also known as drill stem and drill rod.
