1. A suspension of light-sensitive chemicals in a viscous medium to form a coating on photographic film or plates.

2. Two or more liquids that do not dissolve in each other but are held in suspension, one in the other.

3. Stable dispersions of two immiscible liquids. In the aluminum forming category this is usually an oil and water mixture.

4. Stable dispersions of two immiscible liquids. In the Nonferrous Metals Forming and Metal Powders Point Source category, this is usually an oil and water mixture.
