Enamel

1. Coating which cures by chemical cross-linking of its base resin and is not resoluble in its original solvent.
2. Coat of colored material, usually opaque, that is applied as a protective topcoat over a basecoat, primer, or previously applied enamel coats. In some cases, another finishing material may be applied as a topcoat over the enamel.
