Eutrophic water body

1. An aquatic system with high nutrient concentrations, which fuels algal growth. This algae eventually dies and decomposes in a process that reduces the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water.
2. Shallow, murky bodies of water with concentrations of plant nutrients causing excessive production of algae.
