  "definition": "1. Raw material supplied to a machine or processing plant from which other products can be made. For example, polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene are raw chemicals used to produce plastic tiles, mats, fenders, cushions, and traffic cones.\n\n2. Any raw material, reactant, solvent, additive, or other material introduced to a CMPU.\n\n3. Raw material inputs to a process that are transformed by reaction, oxidation, or other chemical or physical methods into products and by-products. Supplemental fuel burned to provide heat or thermal energy is not a feedstock.\n\n4. Crude oil and natural gas liquids fed to the topping units.\n\n5. Any material converted to another form of fuel or energy product. An example is using cornstarch to produce ethanol.",
