Flowmeter
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-011330
1. A gauge indicating the velocity of wastewater moving through a treatment plant or of any liquid moving through various industrial processes.
2. A logging device designed to measure the rate, and usually the direction, of fluid movement in a well; most are designed to measure vertical flow.
3. Device that measures the mass or volumetric rate of flow of a gas, liquid, or solid moving through an open or closed conduit (e.g. flowmeters include, but are not limited to, rotameters, turbine meters, coriolis meters, orifice meters, ultra-sonic flowmeters, and vortex flowmeters).
4. Logging device designed to measure the rate, and usually the direction, of fluid movement in a well; most are designed to measure vertical flow.
