Hydroxyl Radical

An extremely reactive moiety. The hydroxyl radical is formed by the photolysis of ozone by sunlight and the atomic oxygen's subsequent reaction with water vapor. The oxygen-hydrogen (OH) radical reacts with a number of atmospheric pollutants.
