Impaired Waters

1. Waterways that do not meet state water quality standards. Under the Clean Water Act, section 303(d), states, territories and authorized tribes are required to develop prioritized lists of impaired waters.

2. Waters with chronic or recurring monitored violations of the applicable numeric or narrative water quality standards.

3. Impaired Waters are waterbodies not fully supporting their designated uses under the Clean Water Act
