Indirect Costs

1. The costs associated with impacts or consequences of a program.

2. Costs (a) incurred for a common or joint purpose benefitting more than one cost objective and (b) not readily assignable to the cost objectives specifically benefitted without effort disproportionate to the results achieved. (OMB Circular A 87)

3. The resources forgone either to participate in an intervention or as the result of a health condition (such as earnings forgone because of loss of time from work).

4. Those costs incurred for a common or joint purpose benefitting more than one cost objective, and not readily assignable to the cost objectives specifically benefitted.
