  "definition": "1. Non-municipal, or industrial source, often generates wastewater that is discharged to surface waters. The types of wastewaters generated at a facility depend on the specific activities undertaken at a particular site, and may include manufacturing or process wastewaters, cooling waters, sanitary wastewater, and stormwater runoff.\n\n2. Any source of nondomestic pollutants regulated under section 307(b) or (c) of the Clean Water Act which discharges into a POTW.\n\n3. A term used in EPA's Report on the Environment to describe air emissions sources of industrial origin. This report breaks industrial sources down into contributions from selected industries, as appropriate.",
