Interconnection standards--clean distributed generation

Standard interconnection rules for distributed generation (DG), including renewable energy and combined heat and power (CHP), establish clear and uniform processes and technical requirements that apply to utilities within a state. Interconnection standards reduce uncertainty and prevent time delays that DG systems can encounter in obtaining approval to connect to the grid.
