Intraspecific Genetic Diversity
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-014865
1. Variation among individuals for some heritable trait. Intraspecific genetic diversity may be partitioned into at least two components genetic diversity within populations and genetic diversity among populations.
2. The spectrum of genetic material carried by different organisms. Recombination gives genetic diversity the potential to increase or decrease over time.
