1. Discharge of wastewater onto the ground for treatment or reuse. (See: irrigation)
2. Discharge of wastewater onto the ground for treatment or reuse.
3. Spraying or spreading of sewage sludge onto the land surface; the injection of sewage sludge below the land surface; or the incorporation of sewage sludge into the soil so that the sewage sludge can either condition the soil or fertilize crops or vegetation grown in the soil.
4. Land treatment is a disposal method in which a waste containing an EPCRA Section 313 chemical is applied onto or incorporated into soil.
5. The addition of biosolids to soil to supply nutrients and replenish soil organic matter.
6. Application of manure to land for reuse of the nutrients and organic matter for their fertilizer value.
