1. Developmental processes and behaviors that sustain and reproduce a species. For example, case formation and net-spinning can be components of the life history of certain caddisflies.
2. The sequence of events experienced by an organism, from birth to reproduction to death.
The stages of life/development through which a plant or animal progresses over the course of its life, such as larval, juvenile, adult.
