1. The amount of mass in one mole of molecules of a substance as determined by summing the masses of the individual atoms which make up the molecule.
2. The molecular weight of a compound in grams is the sum of the atomic weights of the elements in the compound. The molecular weight of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in grams is 98.
