Molecular weight

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007387

The mass of one mole of a substance, expressed in grams per mole (g/mol). For a compound, it is the sum of the atomic weights of all atoms in its chemical formula. The average molecular weight of dry air is approximately 28.97 g/mol, while that of water vapor is about 18.015 g/mol.
