National Contingency Plan

1. The NCP is formally known as the "National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan, and is promulgated under 40 CFR Part 300. RAGS Volume I, Part A defines the NCP as "the regulation that implements CERCLA. Among other things, the NCP establishes the overall approach for determining appropriate remedial actions at Superfund sites." See also Superfund.
