Odor Threshold

1. The lowest concentration of a substance in air that can be smelled. Odor thresholds are highly variable because of the differing ability of individuals to detect odors.
2. The minimum odor of a water sample that can just be detected after successive dilutions with odorless water.
3. The minimum odor of a water or air sample that can just be detected after successive dilutions with odorless water.
4. Concentration of odorous air at which half of the judges in a panel detect the odor.
