Ovary

1. One of a pair of female reproductive glands in which the ova, or eggs, are formed. The ovaries are located in the pelvis, one on each side of the uterus.

2. One of the paired female reproductive glands containing the ova or germ cells; the ovary's stroma is a vascular connective tissue containing numbers of ovarian follicles enclosing the ova.
