Ovary

A primary female reproductive gland responsible for producing ova (eggs) and female sex hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone. These hormones regulate the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and the development of secondary sexual characteristics. In humans, there are two ovaries located in the pelvic cavity, one on each side of the uterus.
