Estrous cycle

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004110

The recurring physiological and behavioral changes in most female mammals that are associated with reproductive fertility and sexual receptivity. This cycle is regulated by hormones and culminates in estrus, or heat, during which the female is receptive to mating.
