Anestrus

A period of sexual inactivity in female mammals, occurring between cycles of estrus or breeding seasons. During this phase, the reproductive organs are quiescent, and there is no receptivity to mating. The duration and occurrence of anestrus are influenced by factors such as nutrition, photoperiod, and lactation.
