Population cycle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009269
A recurring pattern of fluctuations in the size of a population over time, characterized by periods of increase and decrease. These cycles are often driven by interactions between the population and its environment, such as predator-prey dynamics, resource availability, or disease outbreaks. The periodicity of these cycles can vary widely among different species.
