Biological cycle

A series of events that occur in a recurring pattern within a biological system, often involving the growth, reproduction, and death of organisms. These cycles can describe the life history of an individual organism or the flow of matter and energy through an ecosystem. Examples include the life cycle of an insect or the biogeochemical cycles of elements like carbon and nitrogen.
