Critical life-stage testing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002690
An ecotoxicological test that assesses the effects of a substance on organisms during a particularly sensitive period of their development or reproduction. This period is selected because the organism is most susceptible to adverse effects from exposure to toxicants. Such tests are often conducted over a substantial portion of the organism's life cycle, such as from egg to adult emergence for insects.
