Critical group

A subset of the population that is most susceptible to the adverse effects of a particular toxic agent due to specific characteristics or behaviors. This group may experience higher exposure levels or exhibit increased sensitivity compared to the general population. Identifying and protecting critical groups is a key principle in public health and environmental risk assessment.
