Added risk
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000223
The incremental increase in the probability of an adverse health effect occurring in an exposed population compared to an unexposed population. This measure quantifies the additional risk attributable to a specific exposure, such as to a chemical or environmental factor. It is often used in risk assessment to determine the public health impact of a contaminant.
