Relative risk

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010161

A measure of the likelihood of an event occurring in an exposed group compared to the likelihood of the event occurring in an unexposed group. It is calculated as the ratio of the incidence rate in the exposed group to the incidence rate in the unexposed group. A relative risk greater than 1 suggests an increased risk associated with the exposure.
