Odds ratio

A measure of association between an exposure and an outcome, representing the ratio of the odds of the outcome occurring in the exposed group to the odds of the outcome occurring in the unexposed group. This statistical measure is frequently used in case-control studies to estimate relative risk. An odds ratio of 1 indicates no association between exposure and outcome.
