Relating to an organism, population, or ecosystem that has been subjected to contact with a chemical, physical, or biological agent. An organism can be exposed through one or more routes, including inhalation, ingestion, or direct dermal contact with the substance. The state of being exposed does not necessarily mean that absorption has occurred or that adverse health effects will result.
