Occupational exposure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008183
The contact of a worker with a chemical, physical, or biological agent encountered in the workplace during the course of their employment. Exposure can occur through inhalation of airborne contaminants, dermal contact with substances, or ingestion. The magnitude, frequency, and duration of this contact determine the potential risk to the worker's health, forming the basis for setting regulatory limits and implementing control measures.
