Para-occupational exposure

Exposure to hazardous substances that occurs in individuals who are not directly involved in the occupational activity generating the exposure. This often happens when contaminants are carried home on clothing, skin, or hair from a workplace, affecting family members or others in the household. Such exposures are a concern in occupational health and safety.
