Harmful occupational factor

Any agent, condition, or exposure in the workplace that has the potential to cause adverse health effects or injury to workers. These factors can be chemical, physical, biological, or ergonomic in nature, ranging from toxic substances and radiation to excessive noise and repetitive motions. Regulatory bodies, such as OSHA, establish permissible exposure limits and safety standards to mitigate these risks.
