Recommended exposure level

A guideline for occupational exposure to hazardous substances, established by regulatory bodies to protect worker health. It represents a concentration of an airborne substance that should not be exceeded during a workday or workweek. These levels are typically expressed as time-weighted averages over an 8-hour period.
