Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008194

The ratio of the probability of an event occurring to the probability of it not occurring. In toxicology and epidemiology, odds are used to quantify the likelihood of an outcome, such as disease or adverse effect, in a specific group. If the probability of an event is P, the odds are P / (1-P).
