LOD score
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006747
A statistical estimate of the likelihood of genetic linkage between two loci, such as a disease gene and a genetic marker. It is the logarithm (base 10) of the ratio of the probability of observing the pedigree data if the two loci are linked, to the probability if they are unlinked. A LOD score of 3 or greater is generally considered evidence for linkage.
