Posterior probability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009304

The revised probability of a hypothesis after considering new evidence, calculated using Bayes's theorem. It combines the prior probability of the hypothesis with the likelihood of observing the evidence given the hypothesis. This value reflects an updated belief in the hypothesis based on observed data.
