Reaction probability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009970

The likelihood that a collision between reactant molecules will result in a chemical reaction. It is a dimensionless quantity, ranging from zero (no reaction) to one (every collision leads to reaction). This probability is influenced by factors such as collision energy, orientation, and the nature of the potential energy surface.
