Principal component score
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009467
A value representing the position of an observation along a principal component axis in multivariate data analysis. These scores are linear combinations of the original variables, weighted by the eigenvectors of the covariance or correlation matrix. They are used to reduce dimensionality and visualize patterns in complex datasets, with the first principal component accounting for the most variance.
