Log D
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006748
The logarithm of the distribution coefficient, which quantifies the ratio of the concentration of a compound in an organic phase to its concentration in an aqueous phase at a given pH. This value reflects the lipophilicity of an ionizable compound, accounting for both its neutral and ionized forms. It is a key parameter in drug discovery for predicting absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion properties.
