Intrinsic solubility

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006040

The equilibrium solubility of the un-ionized form of a compound in a given solvent, typically water, at a specific temperature and pH. This value is a fundamental physicochemical property of a substance, independent of pH for ionizable compounds. It is a key parameter in drug discovery and formulation, influencing absorption and bioavailability.
