Log-normal distribution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006756

A continuous probability distribution where the logarithm of a random variable follows a normal distribution. This type of distribution is characterized by a positive skew, meaning its tail extends further to the right. It is often applied to variables that are the product of many independent random variables, such as particle sizes in aerosols.
