Probit log transform
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009488
A statistical transformation applied to dose-response data to linearize the relationship between the logarithm of the dose and the probit of the response. This method is commonly employed in toxicology and pharmacology to estimate parameters such as the median lethal dose (LD50) or median effective dose (ED50). It assumes a normal distribution of individual tolerances to a given substance.
