Cumulative median lethal dose

The total dose of a substance that, when administered in repeated increments over a specified period, is expected to cause death in 50% of a test population. This metric is used to assess the toxicity of substances under conditions of prolonged or chronic exposure. It is often denoted as cumulative LD50.
