Cumulative dose

The total amount of a substance, such as a chemical or radiation, absorbed by an organism over a period of time. This measure is used to assess the overall exposure and potential for adverse effects. The cumulative dose is often expressed in units like milligrams per kilogram of body weight or Grays for radiation.
