Estimated exposure dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004104
The dose of a substance that an organism is likely to receive, obtained by measurement or calculation and summed over all sources and routes of exposure. It is an estimate of the amount taken in or contacted, such as the amount ingested, inhaled or applied to the skin, rather than the fraction that is absorbed into the body. It is expressed per unit body weight and time, for example in milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day.
