Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003392
The product of an airborne pollutant's concentration and the duration of exposure, such as parts per million multiplied by hours, used to describe exposure in a chamber test. It measures cumulative exposure rather than the amount absorbed. In pharmacology the word more often means the amount and schedule of a drug given, for example milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day.
